"Prior to designing posters, [Belsky] was a stage designer, designing set (with others such as Altman and Lavinsky) for productions like Mayakovsky's Myseter Bouffe in 1921. Belsky also designed propaganda decorations and exhibitions, including the Soviet Exhibit at the 1928 Philadelphia Exhibition" (Pack p. 301).
